Largest Golf Operation in all of SE Michigan Sold
Fox Hills Golf and Banquet Center purchased by Heritage Golf
With its roots going back to 1927 as the Plymouth Country Club, the 95-year-old golfing grounds today known at Fox Hills Golf and Banquet Center, was recently sold to the Heritage Golf Group, which has more than 20 additional properties nationwide.
It is the largest golf operation in all of southern Michigan – sporting 63 holes on one piece of property. This includes the original nine, that grew to 27 holes, before the addition of the Arthur Hills-designed Golden Fox.
Sisters Kathy Aznavorian and Sandy Mils have seen just about everything the sport of golf has offered the past four-plus decades as co-owners of the property which was handed down from their parents. The sisters have been pioneering leaders in Michigan golf course ownership ever since.
Fox Hills is a two-time winner of Michigan Golf Course of the Year, and in 2002 was voted National Golf Course of the Year for its overall management, facilities, programs and environmental practices.
It is an epicenter for family golf, in part with its 18-hole short course called Strategic Fox (which includes FootGolf). Then there is the Fox Hills Learning Center, which operates year-round with top award-winning instructors like Brian Cairns, Jordan Young and Jeff Goble, among others. There are many special learning programs for youth and Veterans as well.
