Four MI Golfers Headed to USGA Women’s Amateur

Adie Maki of Canton won the Michigan qualifier at Saginaw CC for the U.S. Women’s Amateur to lead the field of four local ladies heading to Chambers Bay for the Aug. 8-14 national final.

Also making the field was Anika Dy of Traverse City, and her University of Michigan teammate Ashley Kim.  Dy in June took runner up in the Michigan Women’s Amateur to her sister, Anci, in 21 holes.

The fourth is MSU golfer Valentina Rosse of Spain, who is exempt per reaching the US Women’s Am semifinals last summer. An alternate is Elise Fennel of Caledonia.
