Michigan Section PGA Elects First Female President

The Michigan Section PGA elected new officers for a two-year term and an honorary member at the Association’s Annual Meeting attended by over 140 Michigan PGA Members.  The meeting was held October 23, at Eagle Eye Golf Club in East Lansing.

Stephanie Jennings, Women's Golf Coach at Eastern Michigan University, takes over as the Association’s President, the first female in the history of the Michigan PGA. Jennings is only the 10th woman President elected of the 41 Sections of the PGA of America.

Jennings, a member of The PGA of America since 2007, has been the Women's Golf Coach at Eastern Michigan University since 2018 and will succeed Dean Kolstad, of Gull Lake View Golf Club & Resort. Kolstad will begin his term as Honorary President.

Dan Urban, of Gull Lake Country Club in Richland, Michigan, was elected Vice President. Urban, a member of The PGA of America since 2012, has been the Director of Golf since 2016 and will succeed Stephanie Jennings.
